The Antiguan government has officially signed a contract to relocate state-owned ABS Television and Radio to the Caribbean Cinemas compound on Friars Hill Road, according to Antigua Observer.
The move follows industrial action taken by ABS workers on March 2, prompted by serious concerns over mold infestation, flooding, and deteriorating working conditions at the broadcaster's current Cross Street location.
As reported by Antigua Observer, workers' bargaining agent subsequently engaged with authorities following the work stoppage, ultimately leading to the agreement to relocate the state media entity to the Caribbean Cinemas building.
