Search operations are underway for three fishermen from the coastal village of Urlings who have failed to return from a fishing trip that began earlier this week, according to Antigua News Room.
Relatives say the men departed the Urlings area sometime after 7 p.m. on Wednesday aboard a white fishing vessel with a cabin, identified as FAITH P, registration V2090UL. The missing fishermen have been named as Calton Pitt, the vessel's owner, Devon Prince — also known as "Greecegun" — and Ivan Pryce, known as "Puskey."
As reported by Antigua News Room, a family member provided updated information indicating that one of the fishermen made contact with relatives early Thursday morning, advising that he would be returning. However, all subsequent attempts to reach him proved unsuccessful, with the phone reportedly out of range or switched off.
The Antigua and Barbuda Coast Guard has launched a formal search operation. Fishermen from the Urlings fishing station have also joined the effort to locate the vessel and the three men.
Images circulating on social media purportedly show the boat associated with the missing fishermen, as family members and community residents continue to appeal for information regarding their whereabouts.
Anyone with information that may assist in locating the men is urged to call 774-0820 or 728-5884.
