A Canadian woman has been remanded in custody after more than 67 pounds of cannabis were discovered concealed in vacuum-sealed packages upon her arrival at V.C. Bird International Airport.

According to Antigua Observer, the drugs were uncovered following a joint interdiction operation at the airport, which led to the woman's arrest and the seizure of the cannabis, valued at nearly an undisclosed amount.

Authorities conducted the operation at the airport, where the vacuum-sealed packages were found among the woman's belongings. The discovery prompted her immediate arrest and subsequent remand into custody.
