Prime Minister Gaston Browne visited Grace Christian Academy on Thursday morning, meeting with students and donating funds in support of a tree-planting project at the school, according to Antigua News Room.
The visit was prompted by an invitation from a Grade One teacher whose class had been studying national leaders as part of their Social Studies curriculum.
During his time at the school, Browne spoke with students about the value of education, good behaviour, and environmental stewardship. He encouraged them to remain focused on their studies and to cultivate positive habits that would serve them well into the future.
The prime minister also made a financial contribution to assist the school in planting trees on its compound. He urged students to take personal responsibility for tending to the trees and maintaining clean surroundings.
School officials expressed gratitude for the prime minister's support, noting that the project would help create a greener and more welcoming environment for the student body.
