The police outpost at the West Bus Station Terminal is approaching full restoration following a fire that caused significant structural damage and forced officers to temporarily relocate, according to Antigua Observer.
Commissioner of Police Everton Jeffers confirmed during Tuesday's press briefing that repair work is currently in high gear. As reported by Antigua Observer, the Commissioner indicated that the restoration effort is in its final stages, with personnel expected to return to the outpost once work is complete.
The fire, which caused considerable damage to the facility, prompted authorities to temporarily reassign officers stationed at the terminal while repairs were carried out. The outpost serves an important public safety function at one of the island's key transportation hubs.
