The Calvin Ayre Foundation (CAF) has facilitated a critical medical evacuation for an Antiguan construction worker requiring urgent specialized thoracic care abroad, according to Antigua News Room.

The foundation stepped in to assist the worker in securing access to overseas medical treatment, collaborating with relevant parties to arrange the emergency evacuation. As reported by Antigua News Room, this marks another instance of the CAF intervening on behalf of a citizen in urgent need of specialized medical care not available locally.

Thoracic care, which encompasses treatment of conditions affecting the chest, lungs, and related structures, often requires highly specialized facilities and expertise that may not be readily accessible within Antigua and Barbuda.

The Calvin Ayre Foundation has previously supported individuals in similar circumstances, positioning itself as a key private resource for residents facing critical medical situations that necessitate treatment beyond the country's shores.
