Police are investigating a targeted theft at the Booby Alley Housing Project in Point, after unknown individuals broke through the property's perimeter and disabled its security surveillance system before making off with more than two dozen buckets of construction primer.
According to Antigua Observer, a man from Point with ties to the project reported the incident to authorities after the overnight break-in was discovered. The deliberate disabling of the surveillance system suggests the perpetrators had prior knowledge of the site's security setup.
The stolen items — twenty-five buckets of primer — represent a significant loss of construction materials from the housing development. Investigators are working to determine how the suspects breached the perimeter and whether the security system was tampered with from inside or outside the property.
No arrests have been reported at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.
