The Directorate of Gender Affairs celebrated International Women's Day 2026 with a dual event featuring its "Give to Gain" Spotlight Series and a Health Fair that brought essential services, health education, and community recognition together.
According to Antigua News Room, the Health Fair was held on March 6, 2026, and served as the backdrop for the recognition of four outstanding women named as Spotlight Series honourees in acknowledgment of their impact and service to the community. Among those recognised was Judith Peets, Azara, and two additional recipients whose contributions were celebrated at the event.
The Spotlight Series, organised under the "Give to Gain" theme, aimed to highlight women who have made meaningful contributions to Antiguan society. The Health Fair complemented the recognition ceremony by providing attendees with access to essential health services and educational resources.
The Directorate of Gender Affairs used the occasion to reaffirm its commitment to advancing the welfare and recognition of women across Antigua and Barbuda.
