The Directorate of Gender Affairs honoured four women during a special ceremony held on March 6th as part of its ongoing 'Give to Gain' Spotlight Series, according to Antigua Observer.

The event, reported by Antigua Observer and written by Jeressa Jeremy, marked the occasion in observance of the recognition series, which aims to highlight women who demonstrate selfless service and a commitment to uplifting their communities.

The ceremony was held at the Directorate of Gender Affairs and centred on the principle that true service is rooted in compassion, purpose, and a genuine desire to benefit others. Organisers underscored the belief that giving selflessly — without seeking recognition or reward — helps build stronger communities and inspires others to follow a similar path.

The four women honoured through the spotlight series were recognised for their contributions to their communities, embodying the values the Directorate seeks to celebrate and promote through the initiative.

The 'Give to Gain' Spotlight Series continues to serve as a platform for acknowledging women in Antigua and Barbuda whose dedication and service often go unrecognised, shining a light on the quiet but meaningful work being done across the nation.
