Law enforcement officers seized cannabis valued at an estimated $78,000 during a joint drug interdiction operation at V.C. Bird International Airport on Thursday, March 5.

According to Antigua Observer, the seizure took place at approximately 5:30 p.m. and was the result of a coordinated effort between officers from the Narcotics Department and the Customs Enforcement Unit.

The drugs were discovered at the airport's cargo shed during the operation, as reported by Antigua Observer.
