The Antigua and Barbuda Hotels and Tourism Association (ABHTA) appeared before Cabinet on Wednesday to deliver a strategic update on the nation's accommodation preparedness for the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in 2026. According to Antigua Observer, the delegation was led by ABHTA Chairman Craig Marshall and Executive Director Patrice Christian-Simon.

The pair presented Cabinet with a comprehensive report outlining the country's readiness to host the high-profile international summit, which is expected to draw heads of government and senior officials from across the Commonwealth.

CHOGM represents one of the most significant diplomatic and logistical undertakings Antigua and Barbuda has faced in recent years. The briefing signals that preparations are advancing at the institutional level, with the hotel and tourism sector playing a central role in ensuring the country can meet the accommodation demands of the event.
