The National Office of Disaster Services (NODS) is preparing to host two major preparedness initiatives this month as the agency intensifies efforts to build community resilience ahead of the 2026 hurricane season.

According to Antigua Observer, Preparedness and Response Manager Anderson Tuitt appeared on Observer AM to outline plans for both events, which are designed to strengthen the nation's readiness for natural disasters.

Tuitt used the platform to detail NODS' upcoming Community Emergency preparedness activities, signalling a proactive push by the agency to engage residents and communities well before the next hurricane season gets underway.
