A bus driver has been convicted of indecent assault against a 12-year-old girl following a jury trial that exposed a deliberate sequence of predatory behaviour targeting a child travelling alone, according to Antigua Observer.
The court heard that on April 1, 2022, the young victim boarded a bus operated by Kenroy Graham at the West Bus Station. She was travelling unaccompanied at the time of the assault.
As reported by Antigua Observer, the trial revealed a calculated series of events carried out by Graham against the minor during the journey. The jury returned a guilty verdict following the proceedings.
The conviction marks a significant outcome in a case involving the abuse of a position of trust, as the child had boarded public transportation expecting safe passage to her destination.
