Karen-Mae Hill, Antigua and Barbuda’s High Commissioner to the UK, has officially assumed the role of President of Women in Diplomacy in London.
In a statement on Facebook, Hill expressed her deep honor at assuming this position and extended gratitude to H.E. Saida Muna Tasneem, High Commissioner of Bangladesh, for her exemplary leadership.
The transition took place during an official handover ceremony at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, coinciding with a joint event involving the Empower Programme, Women in Diplomacy, FCDO Women, and the British Embassy Seoul.
Looking ahead, Hill emphasized her enthusiasm for addressing critical areas such as women in finance, disability and mental health advocacy, the role of Small Island Developing States (SIDS), and the promotion of arts within the diplomatic sphere. She called for collective efforts to empower women and advance towards a more inclusive and equitable society.
