CARACAS, Venezuela – The Iranian state-run Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute has dispatched its first shipment of oral polio vaccine to Venezuela, reports Mehr News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS.
The director-general of the institute, Ali Es’haghi, explained that the agreement followed an official request from the Venezuelan government and a high-level visit to the Razi Institute. In response, the institute harnessed its technical capacity to produce and deliver the vaccine.
The shipment complied fully with international standards and cold chain requirements, ensuring the vaccine’s effectiveness was preserved throughout transport. The cargo was dispatched directly from Tehran to Caracas under strictly controlled conditions, maintaining a constant temperature of -20°C.
Es’haghi described the move as a strategic step in expanding Razi’s international pharmaceutical reach.
