WASHINGTON, USA – The Global Taiwan Institute (GTI) is pleased to announce the publication of a new occasional report titled Chinese Communist Party Covert Operations Against Taiwan.
This report examines the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) strategy of using intelligence operations and united front operations against Taiwan as part of a comprehensive political warfare strategy, which is aimed at the ultimate annexation of the island under CCP control.
The report was written by Peter Mattis, president of the Jamestown Foundation, and Cheryl Yu, a fellow in China Studies at The Jamestown Foundation. This report is the fourth in GTI’s “Counter Ideological Work and Political Warfare” research series, a planned five-part series of GTI policy reports on the means and methods employed in CCP ideological work and political warfare directed against Taiwan.
