GRENADA / MOROCCO – The government of Grenada and the Kingdom of Morocco have adopted a landmark roadmap of cooperation which outlines their partnership for the next three years.
“This accord aims to enhance collaboration across various sectors, including education, technical cooperation, agriculture, economic promotion and investments, cultural and civil society partnerships, tourism and cultural exchange,” GIS Grenada reports. “The agreement was formalised during a brief ceremony attended by representatives from both governments in Tangier Morocco, on 28 November 2024.”
At the multilateral level, the two parties called for the development of a high-level political dialogue; and stressed the importance of intensifying their contacts to further harmonise their positions and provide mutual support for each other’s candidatures within multilateral institutions, such as the United Nations (UN).

𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: Joint efforts to promote tourism, leveraging the unique cultural and natural heritage of Grenada and Morocco to attract visitors.
𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐥 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬: Programmes to celebrate and share the rich traditions and histories of both countries, fostering deeper cultural connections.
𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: Cooperation on environmental protection and renewable energy projects to address shared global challenges.
𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐬
𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠: programmes for officials from Grenada in various fields by sending Moroccan experts in multiple sectors to Grenada.
Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell welcomed this significant roadmap cooperation agreement as it “reflects our commitment to strengthening our global connections,” adding. “Through this partnership agreement, we are building a bridge of collaboration that will bring tangible benefits to our people, create new opportunities for growth, and strengthen the bonds between our nations.”
Grenada and Morocco have agreed to pursue regular consultations to exchange views on common international and regional issues, including high-level meetings between the foreign ministers and senior officials.
“The implementation of this roadmap will be handled through the Moroccan International Cooperation Agency (AMCI) and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Castries as the Moroccan side, and the ministry of foreign affairs as the focal point ministry in Grenada,” GIS Grenada advised. “This roadmap underscores the shared commitment of Grenada and Morocco to promote economic growth, cultural understanding, and sustainable development through strategic partnerships.”
