During an exclusive interview with China Global Television Network, Browne remarked, “It’s certainly one of the most beautiful island states in the world. I’ll say here the best country for tourism, so those who are interested in vacation in the Caribbean, the country to visit is Antigua and Barbuda. We actually boast 365 beaches, one beach every day of the year, and we’re talking about the most beautiful beaches in the entire world. It’s constantly, I’d say temperatures in the region about 25 to 30 degrees [Celsius], very pleasant, most beautiful beaches in the world, turquoise waters, good food, good history. That’s a great place to be.”

Antigua and Barbuda currently has a mutually exempt visa policy with China, and Browne expressed his eagerness to welcome Chinese tourists to the nation.

Browne recently made an official visit to China from January 22 to 28, at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang. During this visit, he visited Beijing, Zhejiang, and Shanghai, marking his second visit in nearly a decade. Antigua and Barbuda was one of the first countries in the Eastern Caribbean to establish diplomatic ties with China and the first to sign a memorandum of understanding on the Belt and Road Initiative.
